Reaction to Child Porn Law

I have listened to this podcast about three times already and still find it disturbing that such horrible things can happen to a young girl. Amy deserves restitution for the images that were posted on the internet without her consent. It’s absurd that Amy has to go from court to court submitting restitution requests and reliving the painful memories that were brought on by her uncle. Furthermore, 1.7 million dollars has been collected from 180 defendants but it is still only half of what she seeks in order to pay for the lawyers and therapy through out the years. I think what Amy’s lawyer did was brilliant by using the legal theory of Joint and Several Liability because Amy no longer has to go around the country chasing the individuals that saw her images. Rather the perpetrator has to do hunt down all of the individuals that clicked on the images that were posted on the web. The Supreme Court has the tough task of charging those that committed the crime but I feel that it is something that must be done. Regardless if it was a curious accident child pornography is still illegal.
