For this week’s blog, I was going to post about Trump and how he stole Jeb Bush’s IP address, which is fantastic and funny. The only word that comes to mind with this situation is “disappointed”. I like to say I am an avid Facebook user with just skimming around and watching funny videos, but over the weekend I saw a post of a side by side picture of a “GoFundMe” page of Kanye West, and a disabled war vet to provide access through his home. Seeing this really just pissed me off because it just shows where peoples priorities today and its sad and pathetic. Kanye raised more money in 2 days then this vet in 6 months, it just really shows what are world today is like. Yes Kanye may be a good artist but it was his own fault that this happened… is anyone going to fund all of us when we get out of college? Is Kanye going to create a “go fund me” page for all of us? Is he going to donate his money to get us out of debt? I don’t think so.

I’m the same on Facebook, and I did see this too as I scrolled down my newsfeed. A go-fund page for Kanye West? KANYE? I don’t see any reason whatsoever to donate money to him. I must admit, I’m not a big Kanye fan, but then again: he’s an artist! He has tons of dollars to spend – even though he might be in debt now –
I just don’t believe this whole story. Kim must be able to help him out, she’s loaded too!
This just goes to show that no matter how much money some people have, when they ask for more people bend over backwards.
Besides that, I think what Trump did with the webpage was brilliant. Why not? Its not his fault the webpage wasn’t paid for by Jeb Bush. It was up for sale just as many other things. I don’t see why poeple think what he did was so wrong. Its all just politics.
I was also really disappointed when I saw this. And i totally agree with Tori that this really does show just how influential people with more money are compared to your average person. I think also that this ties back directly to what you first mentioned about Donald Trump purchasing Jeb Bush’s website domain. Trump has always (even before beginning his campaign) been very vocal about his successful business ventures and as much as I hate to admit it, his purchase of Bush’s website (for what was a pretty small price especially for Trump) goes to show exactly that.
I’m trying to be as unbiased as possible, but Kanye is a total piece of garbage. The fact that I was able to view his request for donations on Facebook multiple times, and did not once see the post about the wounded veteran aggravates me to no end. I’m just baffled by the amount of people who actually donated to Kanye’s cause, and am completely grateful to the little amount of people who were able to donate money to the veteran.
Kanye has a lot of loyalty from fans so America should expect that. If Beyonce was in debt she would have triple that in 1 day. Then again, if we compare the amount of people from Kanye who donated to the vet its like 15x more
